On October 17, 2026, Sozo Sports Complex will welcome one of the most recognizable names in American music for the first-ever Hop Country Live. Opening the evening will be the Pacific Northwest’s own Whiskey Talkin’ , bringing country music to the stage before The Beach Boys take us through generations of classic hits. This is exactly the kind of night we envisioned when we decided to begin a new chapter for Hop Country. Rather than another large outdoor weekend, we wanted to create something more intimate and memorable for the people who support Sozo Sports. Only around 600 guests will be able to attend this indoor concert in Yakima , giving fans a rare opportunity to see legendary live entertainment in a setting much smaller than the venues where you would normally expect to see an act like The Beach Boys. And we aren’t stopping with the music. Hop Country Live is going tropical. Guests can trade their cowboy boots for flip-flops and break out their favorite Hawaiian shirts for a festive luau filled with food, drinks, music, and fun. Whiskey Talkin’ will get the night started with the country sound Hop Country fans love before The Beach Boys take the stage. It’s country meets California, right here in Central Washington—and somehow, we think it’s going to work pretty darn well. With capacity expected to be around 600 guests, Hop Country Live will offer an experience we simply couldn’t create with the old two-day format. Guests will be able to enjoy the show, spend time with friends, have dinner and drinks, and celebrate with many of the donors and community partners who support Sozo throughout the year. It will still have the energy and great live music Yakima has come to expect from Hop Country—just with a completely different feel. We’re also adding a little tropical fun to the evening. Think Hawaiian shirts, flip-flops, a festive luau, good food, cold drinks, and a gym that won’t look much like a gym by the time we’re finished with it. And then there’s the music. We haven’t officially shared the names yet, but we can tell you that we’re bringing together an evening of entertainment that reaches across generations and gives people another reason to come experience live music in Central Washington . This year is all about creating a more personal experience. Hop Country Live will be one night, indoors, and exclusively for guests 21 and older. We’re planning great entertainment, a festive atmosphere, food and drinks, and an evening where our donors, sponsors, community partners, and friends can spend time together. After four years of large outdoor events, we’re looking forward to seeing what Hop Country feels like with everyone gathered together under one roof.
